"Our Nursery has had the pleasure of inviting the Learning SPACE team to consult with us on how best to use a small space off our classroom and convert it into a sensory space which the children now call "the bubble room." The area is now a lovely, calm, nurturing oasis of peace for children to go in. It offers the children opportunities to work on social integration and to have sensory experiences which improve their visual, auditory and tactile processing. The area offers a sense of calm and comfort and for some children it helps self-regulate their behaviors which in turn improves their focus. This area is loved by each child and the staff love it too. It is such a beneficial addition to our setting and worth every penny. The learning space team was on hand with advice every step of the way and directed us in how best to use the space. They got it all spot on and have been dedicated to ensuring we used the space productively, cost effectively and purposefully. All the team were helpful, attentive and present when we needed them. I cannot recommend enough The Learning SPACE team, to advise and support you in creating a sensory area in your setting.
